The KSWA adopted USA Wrestling as its insurance provider in September 2009.

Each team is required to ensure that every athlete particpating in KSWA sponsored events have insurance through USAW.

• Athletes have the option to purchase either a $10.00 Kentucky League Card (good through 02/05/2011) or the full USAW competitors card for $25.00.  KY League cards are only good in the State of KY.
   
• Each team is required to have at least 1 coach insured with a USAW Coaches Card.  Coaches must complete an online background check every 2 years with USAW.
   
• Team's are encouraged to charter theiir teams/clubs through USAW as soon as practices begin, however teams may wait until the Association deadline for submission listed below.
   
• Teams failing to turn in insurance registration (properly) by January 1st will be prohibiited from participating in all KSWA events.
